Creating Lifelong Memories

About Fishing Friends

Our mission is to teach youth about fishing so they can build character, connect with nature, and develop relationships all while learning a new skill.

Gabe Crivelli - founder of Fishing Friends

My name is Giancarlo G. Crivelli. Fishing has always been a big part of my life, ever since I was a kid. My dad used to take me fishing all the time, and I still remember the excitement and anticipation I felt as we drove out to our favorite spot, the sun rising over the horizon. We would spend hours on the water, casting our lines, swapping stories, and enjoying the peacefulness of nature.

But fishing wasn't just a hobby for my dad - it was a way for him to connect with other kids in our community who didn't have a father figure in their lives. He would take them fishing too, and it soon became a regular thing. He became a friend to these kids, teaching them about the importance of getting back in touch with nature. Fishing, he would say, grounded us, helped us relax, and taught us the value of patience.

When my dad passed away, I lost a big part of me. But I knew I wanted to carry on his legacy and everything he had taught me. That's why I founded Fishing Friends, an organization dedicated to helping kids get back in touch with nature and learn the joys of fishing, just like my dad had taught me.

Fishing Friends is more than just a name - it's a mission. We want to create a community of young anglers who share our passion for the outdoors and who care deeply about the environment. But we need your help to make this happen. By supporting Fishing Friends, you can help us take kids fishing for free, providing them with the gear, guidance, and support they need to succeed.

Together, we can create a world where every child has the opportunity to experience the wonders of nature and develop a lifelong connection to the environment. Join us in our mission to honor my father's memory and help kids discover the joys of fishing. Thank you for your support!

In Loving Memory of Frank Crivelli

Frank Crivelli, father of Gabe Crivelli
Everyone who knew Frank knew he was an avid fisherman. It was easily his favorite activity and in his eyes the best way to make a personal connection with someone. As his son, fishing has become the best way for me to connect with him since he passed in 2014. I hope that our mission will pass on as his legacy in the community.
